With the intent of doing what we can to make the world a brighter place for one person at a time, we offer scholarships and bursaries for disadvantaged youth and young adults in Korea who need financial support to pursue self-sufficiency.
한 사람씩 세상을 더 밝게 만들기 위해 우리가 할 수 있는 일을 하려는 의도로, 우리는 한국에서 자립을 추구하기 위해 재정적 지원이 필요한 불우한 청소년과 청년들을 위한 장학금과 보조금을 제공합니다.
While this scholarship fund was originally inspired by a desire to exclusively help Korean orphans who have aged out of government-sponsored programs, we welcome applications from youth and young adults of all backgrounds who have a dream they wish to pursue but don’t have access to enough funds to move forward.
이 장학금 기금은 원래 정부 지원 프로그램을 졸업한 한국 고아들만을 돕고자 하는 바람에서 시작되었지만, 우리는 꿈을 추구하고 싶지만 자금이 부족한 모든 배경의 청소년과 청년들의 신청을 환영합니다.
How to Apply
Applicants can send an email to benkim@drbenkim.com with the following information:
- Full Name
- Please include a photo of government-issued ID to verify your identity — acceptable forms include a Driver’s License, Passport, Citizenship Card, or Student ID.
- Date of Birth (Month, Day, Year)
- Country of Citizenship
- City and Country of Residence
- Description of your background
- Description of your current life status, including if you are in school or if you are working
- Description of your support network, including relatives, teachers, social support societies, and friends
- Description of your goal(s)
- Description of your financial needs to pursue your goal(s)
Any questions you have about this scholarship fund can be included in your email application. Please allow up to 2 days for confirmation that we have received your application.
